Store Return Policy

At Bay Breeze Dive Center it is our mission to train and certify comfortable, confident, and skilled SCUBA divers for a fun yet safe diving experience.

We truly believe that there are three fundamental elements that make up a qualified diver; These elements are knowledge, skill, and equipment.

 

Equipment should fit properly and be truly functional for its intended use. We will not sell gear without fitting the diver in store except on internet sales and gift purchases in which case on in store purchases we allow the recipient to exchange the unused, undamaged gear in it's original packaging for another like item or credit towards another purchase and within the prescribed time frame as per this document.


We strongly believe that a person should make educated choices when selecting dive gear and if not well informed may ultimately find that it is not best suited for the diver's needs.

We do not recommend our students purchase anything other than their required personal gear for class before their certification is complete and they have the experience of actually diving with real gear during their class sessions and checkout dives. This gives them a better perspective of the different types of gear and based on their diving preference they can make a more sound decision on gear purchases.

This is why we will take back gear with all of its original packaging and documentation and the gear must not have been damaged in any way or used.  If returned gear has been used, the owners of Bay Breeze Dive Center will determine if there is any value based on the condition of the gear.  We try to be fair and will allow some returns for partial store credit on gear that has been used only once or twice.

  • The return must be made within fifteen days of purchase and be accompanied by the original sales slip and credit card slip if applicable.

 

  • This will be exchanged for a store credit in the full amount of the purchase price or refunded less a 20 percent restocking fee that is applied.

 

  • Store credit is then good for ninety days. This policy excludes special orders.

 

Class Refund Policy

  • When enrolling in any of our scuba programs you will always be pre-qualified.

 

  • It is important that you are physically and psychologically fit to dive safely and know how to swim. Once we are satisfied of that, you can then enroll in a scuba program.

 

  • Due to scheduling and other issues with past withdrawals, we have adopted a "No Refund Policy" for classes; however, if you contact us within 72 hours of enrollment, we will take into consideration any extenuating circumstances and possibly refund your tuition fee less any necessary registration fee.  Any refunds are at the sole discretion of the Bay Breeze Dive Center owners.  Additionally, if you fail to show up for any class sessions or fail either the academic, confined water, or open water portions of the program, you will not be eligible to receive any refund.

 

  • Any additional training will be at the expense of the student. These fees will be based on how many additional sessions are required.

 

  • Prior to any issued refunds all training materials must be returned in the same conditions as issued. The cost for damaged or missing video/audio media kit is $40. The cost for the book kit if not in new condition is $40. These charges will be deducted from any refund under consideration.

 

  • All refunds must be requested in writing.
